Professional AutoCAD Mentors
NYIAD is the only school that pairs its students with industry professionals. You will learn skills needed for AutoCAD firsthand by having access to AutoCAD mentors by phone and email. They will provide feedback on your work and help you improve.
Melissa is the Founder and Head Designer of Strada's Spaces, a residential interior design online-based firm. She holds degrees in Architectural Studies and Interior Architecture. She has an educational focus on Sustainable Design. She became a LEED AP for Homes in 2016. She is currently incorporating Feng Shui design in her repertoire of services.
Janet has been a residential designer for many years. She started out in San Francisco, where she graduated from the Academy of Art with a degree in interior design. She began her career working on commercial mixed-use projects in the Bay Area.
Judy Meltzer has over 25 years of experience in providing AutoCAD training and production. She works in a variety of disciples: Cellular Site, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil/Site and Architectural Disciplines. She is also proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, GTX Raster CAD and Sketchup applications with a specialty in AutoCad.

Skills for AutoCAD will vary depending on experience, industry, project, and many other factors. A skilled AutoCAD operator or CAD technicians must develop several different qualities to ensure the project is planned, designed, and/or maintained as needed. Here are a few skills that most CAD technicians must master:

Throughout the course, our mentors will provide ways for students to develop, improve, and apply the basic AutoCAD skills listed above and so many more.
About Our Mentor Program
We are the only online school that gives you access to a professional designer who will act as your teacher and mentor.
You will benefit from a personal relationship just like you would get in the classroom. Our mentors are there to answer your questions via phone or email at every turn.
In addition, you will submit projects throughout the course which will be evaluated by your teacher. They are there to help you improve as you master the craft.
